I started my career as a Drupal developer, but with time I shifted towards content strategy and user experience (UX), which made me realize, among many other things, how developer decisions impact design. When we all incorporate UX design thinking into our work, the quality of our output can only get better.

2021 was an eventful year for the Drupal community. In April, we celebrated Drupal's 20th anniversary and participated in a month-long Drupal Fest. We also launched Discover Drupal and other initiatives to make Drupal more inclusive. We marked the end of life of Drupal 8 and the growth of Drupal 9 adoption with it.
