Tackling Tricky Accessibility Challenges

When we talk about web accessibility, it's easy to focus on guidelines and checklists. But in reality, not every feature on a website is straightforward to make accessible. Custom filters, complex navigation menus, dynamic search results, or customized form elements often require creative solutions and a proactive approach.

On August 15 at 12:00 pm ET, join Janell Sims, Manager of Digital Accessibility Services at Harvard University Information Technology, and Suzanne Dergacheva, Co-Founder of Evolving Web, for a practical discussion about accessibility challenges. Drawing from their hands-on experience and real-world case studies, they’ll share how teams can anticipate accessibility issues, and plan to make features inclusive from the start.

You’ll learn to:

  • Identify interactive features—like megamenus, modals, sliders, and dynamic filters—that often require extra accessibility work
  • Apply practical techniques and select tools that make complex components more inclusive
  • Advocate for accessibility as a shared responsibility across project management, design, development, and content roles

Whether you’re a developer, designer, QA tester, or digital lead, this webinar will help you build a sharper awareness of accessibility pitfalls—and a toolkit for solving them thoughtfully.
